Shraddha Kapoor's brother and actor Siddhanth Kapoor gets detained in Bengaluru for alleged drug consumption at party

    Actress Shraddha Kapoor’s actor brother Siddhanth Kapoor has been reportedly detained by the Bengaluru police for alleged drug consumption. According to a news report in BollywoodLife, Siddhanth had been consuming drugs at a party on Sunday (June 12) night.

    Actress Shraddha Kapoor ’s actor brother Siddhanth Kapoor has been reportedly detained by the Bengaluru police for alleged drug consumption. According to a news report in BollywoodLife, Siddhanth had been consuming drugs at a party on Sunday (June 12) night. After getting a tip-off, the police officials raided the party which was being hosted at the MG Road in Bengaluru.

    The report further added that the police officials sent samples of those suspected of consuming drugs. Amidst the six samples that were sent by the police, Siddhanth Kapoor’s sample also turned out to be positive. However, the cops were not sure whether the alleged suspects consumed drugs before coming to the party or while they were attending the same.

    Reportedly, Siddhanth Kapoor is currently lodged at the Halasuru Police Station and his medical examination has also confirmed his drug usage. Siddhanth’s father and veteran actor Shakti Kapoor revealed to Etimes about the fiasco saying, “I can say only one thing - it’s not possible”. The actor also revealed to India Today stating, "I got to know about this news from India Today. I don’t have any idea. I don’t know anything about this. When I got up at 9 am, news was coming that he had been detained. I have no idea. The whole family is trying to get in touch. No one is picking up the call. I don’t know what is happening.” The report in the publication furthermore added that the Chehre actor had left for Bengaluru from Mumbai on Sunday and this particular incident took place at the party late at night.

    The report added that Siddhanth Kapoor’s family was unaware of the hotel where he was staying. For the unversed, Siddhanth’s sister and actress Shraddha Kapoor was amongst the celebrities who were questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the case of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput ’s demise regarding the alleged possession of drugs. Apart from her, actresses Deepika Padukone , Sara Ali Khan , and Rakul Preet Singh were also summoned for questioning by the agency.

    Talking about Siddhanth Kapoor, he was also seen in the web series Bhaukaal. The actor has shared the screen space with his sister Shraddha Kapoor in the movie, Haseena Parkar . He has also appeared in movies like Bombairiya, Shootout At Wadala , Paltan, and Ugly.
