Shruti Haasan rubbishes hospitalisation rumours: Have had PCOS for years and I have been doing just fine

A few days ago, Shruti Haasan revealed that she has been facing the worst hormonal issues with PCOS and endometriosis. With a workout video on her Instagram handle, the actress said that she will not let the challenges define her. Her social media post also led to speculations that she is being unwell and even being hospitalised. Recently, the actress quashed the hospitalisation rumours and said she is perfectly fine.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Shruti addressed the rumours in a selfie video. She clarified that she is working non-stop in Hyderabad and has not been admitted to the hospital. She went on to say that she had put up about having PCOS, but it doesn't mean she is unwell or in critical condition of any kind. “And I have realised that some media outlets have blown it way out of proportion without reading the actual post, which is supposed to be positive. I also got calls today asking if I'm admitted to the hospital, which I am clearly not. I'm doing perfectly fine. I have had PCOS for years and I have been doing just fine. So, thank you for your concern." she added.

The actress also shared the screenshot of a media outlet video claiming that she has been hospitalised. Her Instagram story also has a text post on female health. “Remove stigma around discussing female health. This really brings to my attention the need to have open clear discussions about this instead of this blown out-of-proportion reaction. Let’s talk,” it read.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shruti is busy shooting for a Telugu-language action-drama Salaar written and directed by Prashanth Neel. The film also stars Prabhas and Jagapathi Babu in lead roles. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, the film is slated for a 2023 release. Besides it, the actress also has an untitled project produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna.
