Soon-to-be daddy Ranbir Kapoor talks about his relationship with kids, says he prefers being called 'RK' by them

Ranbir Kapoor is soon going to be a dad and we are sure it’s a joyous occasion for his loved ones as well as his die-hard fans. As the actor is geared up to embrace fatherhood, he recently revealed in an interview his rapport with kids. Ranbir recalled his relationship with his cousins Armaan Jain and Aadar Jain while they were kids as well as his bond with his niece, Samara.

Talking about the same, Ranbir Kapoor said that he prefers being called ‘RK’ by the kids instead of ‘uncle’ in order to look cool. Speaking to Mashable India, the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor said, “I would like to believe I am. I don’t know if I am good or not, but when my two younger cousins brothers Armaan, Aadar, were born, while they were growing up, they were like my tail. Wherever I went, they followed me, and they really worshipped me. So I guess I was good to them." For the unversed, Armaan Jain and Aadar Jain are sons of Rishi Kapoor ’s sister Rima Jain with Manoj Jain.

Furthermore, Ranbir Kapoor also spoke about his bond with his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni ’s daughter Samara. The Wake Up Sid actor said, “I have a niece called Samara who’s 11 now, and she is a little shy, she also lives in Delhi, but during her growing up years, we were quite close. Now she’s in that awkward age where boys are a bit...But I would like to believe I am close to children. I am the cool uncle but I don’t like to be called uncle. I tell them 'Call me RK' because I don’t give an uncle tag...there's a little bit of distance so that people think I'm cool. RK has got a ring to it and also I don't want people to think I'm old. Just call me RK."

Ranbir Kapoor’s wife and actress Alia Bhatt announced their pregnancy on June 28. She shared a picture of her sonography session as Ranbir was seen looking into the screen at their baby. Alia captioned the same stating, “Our baby, coming soon.”
