The very talented Swara Bhasker is undoubtedly one of the most versatile performers of the industry. She began her journey as an actor with theater and later made her debut with Madholal Keep Walking. In her 13 year long career, Swara has played various different characters-- may it be the glamorous Sakshi of Veere Di Wedding , Anaarkali of Aarah, Salman Khan ’s on-screen sister Rajkumari Chandrika in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo or Chanda Sahay from Anand L. Rai's comedy drama Nil Battey Sannata. With each role, the actress gave the audience a new reason to fall in love with her.

In a recent chat with Mid Day, Swara opened up about taking up roles rejected by others. She shared, “I always joke and say my filmography is made up of roles rejected by everybody else. It’s interesting because even my big budget roles were ones that nobody did. In ' Raanjhanaa ,' I was the last person to be cast because they had a sudden last minute cancellation and the actor who was to do it from out. For Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, no actress wanted to play Salman’s sister, that’s how they reached out to me. Even for 'Veere Di Wedding,' Rhea (Kapoor) was wondering who to cast and I convinced her to give it to me.”

Swara remembered how she was even told that Nil Battey Sannata is ‘career suicide’, but it turned out to be the most special film of her career. The actress was quoted saying, “So I don’t even worry and a lot of that comes from, I don’t believe figures should be the operating factor when you choose work.”

Well, we sure are glad Swara took up these characters and breathed life into them!
