Deepika Padukone recently launched her skincare brand called 82°E which comprises organic products catered to healthy skin. However, within no time of the website going live and the products being for sale, it started to receive flak for being too expensive for the common people. Not only this, but netizens also asked Deepika to learn something from Katrina Kaif , a successful entrepreneur with her makeup brand called Kay By Katrina .

Talking about the same, the netizens pointed out how Deepika Padukone’s brands are too overpriced for the common people to afford the same. They observed that a simple moisturizer from 82°E has been priced at Rs 2700 while sunscreen is kept at Rs 1800. The netizens criticized Deepika for not knowing the basic marketing and pricing skills like Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra who have left no stone unturned to make their makeup and haircare brands respectively a huge success.

One of the netizens stated, “The products, the website, the launch, everything is so uninviting and uninspiring. People will buy once because of the face value. But in today’s age of Fenty beauty and Rhode, this is disappointing. M really done spending money on skincare in the name of ‘indian brand’. We don’t need another forest essential. I would any day opt for ordinary or Kay beauty above this.” Another user said, “It's too expensive..plz drop the prices a bit and make it affordable so that More of ur fans can get access to it.” While a netizen added, “Way out of the league for a lot of people who are into skincare and self-love.”

Another user further said, “Not at all reasonable. I mean one can get such amazing vegan cruelty-free skincare products at such reasonable rates. There are tons of brands out there. I mean 2700 for a 50 ml moisturizer are you kidding me.” Well, it seems that Deepika Padukone’s 82°E didn’t have quite the warm welcome by the netizens as was expected and we hope the fate of the brand moves for the better in the coming days.
