Varun Dhawan is on a promotional spree for his upcoming movie Jugjugg Jeeyo. However, it has not been an easy ride for the actor as it has been revealed that his father and veteran director David Dhawan was hospitalized for the past week. The director has advance stage diabetes and was rushed to the hospital last week after his health deteriorated.

However, David Dhawan is doing better now and has also returned home from the hospital, fortunately. Now, Varun Dhawan had spoken about the mammoth task of balancing his professional commitments and also looking after his father’s fragile health. The Coolie No 1 actor said to Etimes, “People love my Dad and we’ve got him back home now. It’s tough to work when your father is not well, but my father will always want me to complete my commitments. He’s recovering well at home now."

The report furthermore quoted a source close to the Dhawan family to reveal, " Lali Dhawan (Varun's mother) was looking after David Dhawan during the daytime at the hospital, while Rohit and Varun were there at night." Not only this but Varun Dhawan was shooting for one of his upcoming projects abroad when his father David Dhawan was rushed to the hospital. The Student Of The Year actor took the first flight home and rushed to be there at his father’s side.

However, being a thorough professional, Varun Dhawan made sure to complete the promotional activities for Jugjugg Jeeyo. Earlier last month, Varun had also won the internet after he shared a video of doing the ‘Naach Punjaban’ hook step with his father David Dhawan. Many celebs like Katrina Kaif , Ekta Kapoor, Zaheer Iqbal, Jackky Bhagnani, Esha Gupta , and Avneet Kaur showered love on the video. Varun’s Jugjugg Jeeyo co-star Kiara Advani also reacted to the video by dropping some heart emojis.
