Varun Dhawan reveals he gate crashed a wedding with Natasha Dalal to avoid ending a date, told her it's a friend's party

The cast of Jugjugg Jeeyo got candid about gate crashing weddings during a recent interview and actor Varun Dhawan had a sweet story to narrate about how he took his wife Natasha Dalal to a total stranger’s wedding because he didn’t want their date to end.

The Jugjugg Jeeyo stars were asked if they have gate crashed someone’s wedding ever and while actor Anil Kapoor admitted he would attend random weddings while living in Chembur for free booze, Varun revealed he wanted to tell Natasha he loved her and gate crashed a wedding to avoid ending their date without saying it.

Varun while talking about gate crashing said, “It was with my wife … I mean she wasn’t my wife at that time, she was my girlfriend. Woh New York jar ahi thi padhne ke liye and I had one day with her to tell her that I loved her. So, I didn’t want the night to get over aur main raat ke 11-12 baaje kahan jate hum log. Toh I just said ki kisi dost ki party chal rahi hai, toh we have to go there. Teen char dost le gaye humein andwe just entered a party.”

While Anil Kapoor refused to call it gate crashing, Varun admitted he lied to Natasha and didn’t have a clue about whose wedding it was.

Varun and Natasha have known each other since school and tied the knot in 2021 in an intimate wedding ceremony in January 2021 in Alibaug. Natasha who is a fashion designer, studied in Fashion Institute of Technology in New York before returning to India in 2013.

The two remained close friends till their mid-20s and fell in love later. Varun had earlier admitted in an interview that he professed his love to Natasha twice or thrice before she finally agreed to be with him.
