Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday were the latest guests on Karan Johar ’s chat show Koffee With Karan season 7. Known for digging into everyone’s love life, the filmmaker once again couldn’t stop and grilled the Liger stars to reveal their secret personal lives. While he tried to target Ananya first and quizzed her about her alleged break-up with Ishaan Khatter and new romance with Aditya Roy Kapur. Vijay was asked about his alleged relationship with Rashmika Mandanna .

Speculations are rife that Vijay and Rashmika are dating each other. Although the two worked together in only two films, Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindam, but they share a very close bond. Opening up about his bond with the actress, Vijay said, “We have done 2 films together and she is a darling. I’m very fond of her. She is a very good friend of mine and we share so much through films like lots of highs and lots of lows. A bond gets created. In films, you are put into close proximity very quickly and so bond develops quicker.”

Further, when Vijay was asked about his relationship status, he said that he will announce it aloud the day when he gets married and have kids. But presently, he chooses not to talk about it as it would hurt his huge fanbase. “The day I will marry and have kids, I will say it out loud; until then I would not like to hurt anyone who adores me. There are so many people who love you as an actor and have your poster on their wall, on their phones. They give me so much love and appreciation; I don’t want to break their heart,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay will next be seen in Liger directed by Puri Jagannadh. In the film, Vijay plays an underdog MMA fighter, while Ananya essays his love interest. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles. Legendary boxer Mike Tyson will also be seen in an extended cameo. Backed by Dharma Productions, the film is set to hit theatres on August 25.
