Vijay Deverakonda subtly rejects Sara Ali Khan's indirect proposal: 'I can't even say the word relationship well'

South sensation Vijay Deverakonda is the latest crush of our Bollywood beauties Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan , and Ananya Panday . However, Sara was first among all who expressed her wish to date him. She said it during her appearance on Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan. Now, the Arjun Reddy actor has responded to her indirect proposal and said it was so sweet of her to have said that. But, it didn’t stop here, know here!!

In a recent interview, Vijay was asked to share his reaction to Sara’s statement from Koffee With Karan. “I texted her (Sara). It is so sweet of her to have said that,” he told Etimes. When prodded further if would date her, he said, “I can't even say the word 'relationship' well. How can I be in one?” His diplomatic answer seems to be a subtle rejection of Sara’s dating proposal.

Deverakonda was earlier reported to be dating his Dear Comrade co-star Rashmika Mandanna. However, both of them have never admitted or rejected the rumours of their dating affair. On other hand, Sara was in a relationship with her Love Aaj Kal co-star Kartik Aaryan. They parted ways and continue to be friends.

To note, Sara and Janhvi appeared on the Koffee With Karan. It was the filmmaker who had asked Sara to name a person she would like to date. During the conversation, even Sara asked Janhvi if she likes Vijay, and the latter nodded. In the next episode, Vijay appeared with his Liger co-star Ananya on the chat show. Even Ananya asked Vijay why he didn’t make a move toward her for a relationship, to which he replied that she was busy with someone else then.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay will next be seen in Liger directed by Puri Jagannadh and backed by Dharma Productions. The film is slated to hit theatres on August 25. On the other hand, Sara was last seen in Atrangi Re alongside Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. She will next be seen in Gaslight opposite Vikrant Massey.
