Vijay Deverakonda's Liger all set to break Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 records, looking at a bumper opening weekend

When no biggies revived Bollywood’s dry spell at the box office, Kartik Aaryan ’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 came to the rescue. Now, Vijay Deverakonda ’s long-awaited Liger is being anticipated to break the record of Kartik’s film. The Telugu star is just a day away from becoming the Pan-India star with Liger as the movie is set to release on August 25 in five languages. The advance booking has started way ahead of the release, and the tickets are selling like hot cakes in and out of the country.
According to the Andhraboxoffice.com report, Liger can potentially open with a double-digit number and even go higher than Deverakonda’s hit Dear Comrade collection. Going by the advance booking performance, trade experts expect that Liger can easily cross Rs 18 crore collection on the first day of release, higher than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 day 1 collection of Rs 14 cr. In Telugu, the movie has already grossed Rs. 3 cr for the first day’s advance booking. While it got a solid start in the South, the advance booking numbers of Liger remained low in Hindi belts.

As per Sacnilk, Liger has registered Rs 3.66 Crore advance booking for Telugu with the sale of 199938 tickets. While it earned Rs 12 Lakh for Hindi with 5083 tickets sold, and if included block seats, it collected Rs 25 Lakh. On the other hand, Rs 1 Lakh has been collected for Tamil, and with block seats earning is around Rs 3.5 Lakh. The total advance booking stood at Rs 3.79 crore on Tuesday.
