    Netizens react to Vivek Agnihotri walking with a Y-security during his morning walk. The director's film The Kashmir Files is still grappled with a lot of controversies.

    Vivek Agnihotri recently shared a video of himself walking on the streets with a Y-security. The filmmaker hinted that this was because of the possible threat to his life because of his film, The Kashmir Files which was although a hit at the box office, has been grappled with controversies. Talking about the same, the filmmaker took a sharp dig at the freedom of speech in the country. However, his video garnered mixed reactions from netizens.

    Talking about the same, Vivek Agnihotri can be seen walking on the streets with his security team surrounding him. The director has presumably stepped out for a morning walk. The words ‘This is the cost of Freedom of Expression in India’ can be seen written below the video.

    The director captioned the same stating, “The price one has to pay to show the Genocide of Hindus in Kashmir. In a Hindu-majority country. Freedom of expression, ha! #ImprisonedInOwnCountry #Fatwa.” Take a look at the tweet.

    However, the director been given Y-security didn’t go down well with everyone. Many of the netizens heavily trolled the filmmaker. One of the netizens stated, “This is an unwanted build-up waste of taxpayers’ money” while another user said, “What a waste of taxpayer's money.” Another netizen said, “The price is being paid by the ordinary taxpayers of this country and you are flaunting your security paid by them. There is no security concern for you. And if at all it is, why don’t you hire private security, you aren’t a public representative. Pay for your luxury.”

    However, the Tashkent Files director also had his share of supporters. A netizen said, “It’s actually the cost of hitting one’s business & revenue model. When strong people stand for the rights of others, they’re questioned. When they don’t break, they’re threatened - which is the last stage. Stay strong @vivekagnihotri, you are inspiring a generation.” For the unversed, the movie The Kashmir Files received strongly mixed reactions from the netizens. While some hailed it as a revolutionary film, others labeled it as alleged propaganda.
