    After missing the Pran Prathistha ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, Akshay Kumar flew down to Abu Dhabi, UAE on Wednesday (February 14) to attend the inauguration of the BAPS Swaminarayan temple in the city. It also marks the first Hindu stone temple in the city. The temple is to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

    The superstar opted for a white and golden kurta for the occasion. He took to his social media handle to share a glimpse of the temple. We could see the actor taking a picture of the divine-looking temple from the other side of what looks like a glass case. The Phir Hera Pheri actor captioned the same stating, “Blessed to be a part of the inauguration of the BAPS Swaminarayan temple at Abu Dhabi. What a historic moment.”

    Earlier, ANI shared a video of Akshay making his way to the temple. He was guarded by security officials but looked in a blissful mood. The temple has been constructed by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Many fans also poured in love to Akshay’s post.

    One of the fans stated, “Respect for Akshay Kumar.” A netizen said, “Gem of Bollywood Akshay Kumar.” Another user said, “Sanatani Kumar.” Another fan said, “Historic moment indeed.” Meanwhile, Akshay was also one of the celebrities who was invited to the Ram Mandir Pran Prahistha ceremony in Ayodhya. However, the megastar could not attend the same since he was shooting for his upcoming film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in Jordan. A source close to the actor told the Etimes, “Akshay Kumar has told the organizer of the function about his prior commitment with the producers of the film and as it is a combination shoot he may not be able to attend the event (Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha).''

    On the work front, Akshay’s film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan opposite Tiger Shroff has gotten everyone pumped up. He also has Welcome In The Jungle in the pipeline which is the third installment of the Welcome franchise. He also released the first look of his movie Sarfira which is the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru.
