    Saif Ali Khan has been proving his versatility with every new project he has been taking up and is turning out to be the one ‘Khan’ in Bollywood whose experiments are actually paying off. While the fans are currently obsessing over Vikram Vedha, the actor has confessed in a recent interview that people tried to write him off as a TV actor after he had signed on for Sacred Games .

    The Vikram Vedha star who has paved the way for Bollywood into the digital world with the blockbuster Netflix series, revealed while talking to Dainik Bhasker that his wife Kareena Kapoor was once told by someone that he’d only be doing ‘TV roles’ after Sacred Games.

    Shah Rukh Khan often tells me that people are not old, their thinking turns old. You can stay relevant as a person if you keep your thoughts new and updated. For example, when I accepted Sacred Games, someone told my wife 'Oh, Saif will only do TV now'. That when Sacred Games is not even a TV show, it was for an OTT platform,” Saif told the publication.

    He further revealed that he has stayed away from have a set thinking and that has helped him stay relevant.

    In recent years, Saif has delivered back to back applaud worthy performances in varied roles. Right from Tanhaji, Jawaani Jaaneman, Bhoot Police to Vikram Vedha, Saif has made a sincere effort to keep his movie choices distinct. He has also breached the OTT space as a bankable star with two seasons of Sacred Games as well a one season of the Tandav.

    The actor is aiming big with his next Adipurush, where he will be seen playing Ravan opposite Prabhas’ Ram in Om Raut’s magnum opus which is lined up for cinemas in 2023.
