Well, there is no dearth of some rather scurrilous gossip in tinsel town and we are here to refresh your memory on a rather unmissable one. Yes, we are talking about the time when Shah Rukh Khan called Akshay Kumar a ‘waiter’. Not only this but the superstar had also called Sanjay Dutt a ‘convict’ referring to his prison time in the arms case.

Talking about the same, a Reddit user spilled some beans on this epic 90s gossip wherein the post stated that Shah Rukh Khan was discovered carrying a fully loaded gun while entering a high-profile Bollywood party which was held for the Mahurat of Firoz Nadiadwala’s movie Raftaar which was later known as Hera Pheri. Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, former Shiv Sena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray, Manisha Koirala, Juhi Chawla , and many other big, names were in attendance. Needless to say, Shah Rukh was detained by security after he was discovered with the gun even after he allegedly stated that he was receiving death threats. The security was not letting the actor go unless he produced his license for the gun. The actor also called for Firoz to help him out with the situation but the latter was attending to Balasaheb Thackeray.

The tryst with the security went on for hours after which Shah Rukh Khan was extremely agitated and reportedly said, “Who does Firoz Nadiadwala think he is? After all, he’s making a film with a convict (Sanjay Dutt) and a waiter (Akshay Kumar).” According to the page, this statement didn’t go down well with Sanjay and Akshay. When Balasaheb Thackeray got to know about the situation, he asked the authorities to warn Shah Rukh not to create a scene or else he will make sure that none of the actor’s films are released in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh Khan reportedly didn’t create a further scene and went back to his car again to produce his gun license after which he was allowed to enter the party. However, later in one of his interviews, Shah Rukh had a different story to tell wherein he said, “They had called a security guy who did not look like one. I took out my clip and handed over my gun and asked him to give me a receipt stating that he had my gun and that I could claim it back. The fight was over a receipt that he did not give me and not the license. Normally, I would never carry a gun to a party. But I did so because I had driven alone from Film City.” Well, it seems like the Bollywood parties in the 90s were quite a stirring pot of hearsay and ignominy.
