Sushant Singh Rajput and his relationship with his work was one of a kind. The actor who would have turned 36 today was one of the rare talents who made it big in both the television industry and Bollywood, a balance that many actors can’t boast of having achieved.

The late actor had once spoken during an interview about how despite his solid performances, there was lack of recognition for his work from the industry itself. In 2019, a year before his sudden demise shocked the nation Sushant had told Huffpost in an interview, that it has been way to obvious but that he didn’t know why it was.

Talking particularly in the context of his film M.S. Dhoni : The Untold Story, Sushant said, “I was disappointed during Dhoni. Then I told myself, maybe I overestimated what the reactions were going to be.”

He had once also discussed the difference there is between being an outsider and an insider in the industry with film critic Anupama Chopra in an interaction. He had told her while talking about nepotism that in his years in the industry though he has done the kind of work he wanted to do, when it comes to success the celebration of an insider’s success is tenfold more than that or an outsider.

“When you’re successful as an outsider, you’re discussed but in a very hushed tone. That’s about it. But when you are an insider and you succeed, it’s multiplied by ten and if you lose, it’s divided by ten,” he had said.

During his career the actor did deliver huge hits like M.S. Dhoni, Chhichhore , Kedarnath , Kai Po Che among others.
