Whose side Ekta Kapoor is in between the tussle between Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu? Dobaaraa producer has this to say

The tinsel town is not aversed by the occasional feud between actresses Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu . Recently Ekta Kapoor who has closely worked with both the actresses was asked to react to Kangana infamously calling Taapsee a ‘sasti’ copy of herself. However, the TV Czarina had the most badass reply to the same which all women must take note of.

Talking about the same, Ekta Kapoor who is producing Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming film Dobaaraa attended the trailer launch event of the same. However, Taapsee who is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki couldn’t attend the event. During the same, one of the media personnel asked the producer about her reaction to Kangana Ranaut calling Taapsee her ‘Sasti Copy.’

On this, Ekta Kapoor had the sassiest reply. The producer replied, “There is only one similarity, both are amazing trailblazer women and to play them against each other is not your and my job. Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s comment, the Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi actress had called Taapsee Pannu ‘Sasti’ after the latter had supported Anurag Kashyap while he was embroiled in a Mee Too controversy. Kangana had stated on her social media handle, “You will always remain sasti because you are sab rapists ka feminist... your ringmaster (Anurag) Kashyap was raided in 2013 as well for tax chori... government official’s report is out if you aren’t guilty go to court against them come clean on this ... come on sasti." The actress had also allegedly accused Taapsee of copying her choice of women-led roles in her films along with her curly hairstyle.

Talking about Taapsee Pannu’s sci-fi thriller flick Dobaaraa, the movie is being bankrolled by Cult Movies which is a new division of Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. The film is a Hindi remake of the Spanish film Mirage. It also stars Pavail Gulati, Saswata Chatterjee and Rahul Bhat in the lead roles.
