Will Alia Bhatt produce husband Ranbir Kapoor’s film which he wrote during the lockdown? Actress reveals

In an interview while promoting his comeback film Shamshera, actor Ranbir Kapoor revealed that during the coronavirus lockdown he wrote a story which he really liked. He explained that he does not believe he has the skill to share the story and make a film on it, but he hopes to direct a project one day. Ranbir had further added that his actress wife Alia Bhatt is a ‘very good producer’ and maybe she could produce his directorial. Well, much to our delight, Alia has now revealed their plans!

The actress, who launched the trailer of her debut production venture Darlings today, was asked about producing Ranbir’s film in a media interaction. To this, Alia replied, “We did discuss it. I actually told him that if you don’t make me produce it, I’ll be very upset! I told him if you don’t want to take me as an actor, that’s totally fine. He told me, ‘No no, I need you, you’re a tyrant’.” She went on to add, “As I said, I am a creative producer, I will give my creative inputs at the writing stage and hopefully produce it.”

Well, now that this the discussion is on, fans have two films of the happy couple to look forward to-- one which Ranbir will direct and Alia will produce, and the much awaited Brahmāstra : Part One – Shiva. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan , Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni, the fantasy adventure film has been helmed by Ayan Mukerji . It is the first film in which Ranbir and Alia, who tied the knot earlier this year, will share screen space.
