Today is World Cancer Day. With each passing day, it becomes extremely important that everyone gets educated and are aware of the disease. On World Cancer Day, Bollywood actress Bhagyashree took to social media and shared an important message.

She urged everyone to make small but effective changes in their daily lives to stay healthy. She spoke in a simple and warm way, making it easy for people to understand how everyday habits can impact their well-being. From food choices to lifestyle changes, she highlighted the importance of being aware and making better decisions to prevent health risks like cancer.

Talking about food choices, Bhagyashree warned against consuming processed foods, saying, “The longer the shelf life, the more preservative chemicals. And if you want to eat, read the label. Know what you are consuming. Trust local produce and trusted sources.” She emphasized that fresh and natural food is always a better option for a healthy life.

She also spoke about the importance of sunlight and vitamin D, encouraging people to sit in the sun for 10 minutes in the morning to naturally boost immunity. However, she also gave a word of caution, “Strong sun exposure increases the chances of skin cancer. That’s why timing and moderation is the key.” Her advice was to enjoy the benefits of the sun but in a balanced way.

Hydration and staying active were other key points in her message. She reminded everyone, “Make sure that you drink enough water. Stay hydrated. And stay active. A healthy lifestyle is the biggest defense.” She also pointed out that unhealthy habits, like smoking and certain fashion choices, are linked to cancer, urging people to think carefully before making such choices. “So, think, decide, and quit.”

Ending on a strong and motivational note, Bhagyashree used a famous Bollywood dialogue to drive her point home: “Ek baar jo maine commitment kar li, toh main apni aap ki bhi nahi sunta.” She encouraged everyone to make a commitment to their health and stick to it, no matter what. With her simple yet powerful message, she reminded everyone that awareness and the right choices can go a long way in leading a healthier, cancer-free life.
