The first trailer for the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol: 3 made its debut at this year's CCXP22 held in São Paulo, Brazil, where the head of Marvel Studio revealed the trailer to the audience.

The trailer had the same emotional core as the previous installments springled with the franchise's trademark humor. Director James Gunn has said this will be the last time we see the original Guardians team up hinting at the death of one or more beloved characters.

In the trailer, we can see many of the team members including Peter, Drax, and Rocket worse for ware, but it is clear from the trailer that this might we be the last time we see Rocket.

From the recently released holiday special, we do know that the Guardians have bought Nowhere from the Collector and are busy fixing it up again for its residents, Peter is still upset by Gamora's death and Mantis is revealed to be Peters's half-sister.

There is a lot to unpack in the trailer, everything from battling new villains, exploring new worlds, a prison escape, and battling giant space monsters. Speaking of giant space monsters, the first Easter egg on our list is.

Abilisk made his debut in the opening credits of Guardians of the galaxy Vol 2, where the Guardians had to protect the powerfull energy cells of the Sovereign from he creature who wanted to devour them.

The monster makes its return in a blink and you will miss it moment from the trailer, Abilisk is capable of traveling between dimensions so where exactly this second battle takes place remains to be seen.

The New Suits, the new suits we see the Guardians where in the trailer is a call back to their appearance in the original comics. It is a neat little call back to the team's creators Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning.

Rocket's Origin Story, It is clear from the trailer that the movie will focus a lot on Rocket Raccoon and his origin story, while fans know how much his past still torments him, it will no doubt be painful for him to go back to but thankfully he has his friends with him this time.

Adam Warlock, we finally get out first look at Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, the character was first teased in the post-credit scene of Volume 2, and from the trailer, it is clear that he was sent by the Sovereign to kill the Guardians, hopefully, he like his comic book counterpart has a change of heart.

High Evolutionary, Chukwudi Iwuji will be playing the role of the High Evolutionary who is a scientist obsessed with creating a genetically superior species and will be the main villain of the movie. No doubt he is the one responsible for the experiments done on Rocket.

No doubt we will get to know even more details about the movie as it gets closer to its release. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will hit theaters on May 5, 2023.
