At the end of Aamir Khan ’s 2014 blockbuster hit PK , the superstar introduced audiences to his fellow alien Ranbir Kapoor . We were over the moon with joy to see them together and eagerly waited for a sequel where they would share the screen again. Director Rajkumar Hirani confirmed that there will be a part 2 to the film, but also shared that it hasn’t been written yet. Well, much to the delight of fans, there is another two-hero project in the works right now which may see another collaboration between Ranbir and Aamir.

According to Pinkvilla, this project is being helmed by filmmaker Anurag Basu . A source was quoted saying, “Anurag Basu is trying to develop a screenplay for Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. While the basic idea has been conceptualized by AKP aka. Aamir Khan Production, its Basu, who has come on board to weave a screenplay with the inhouse team of actors. The movie is in a very nascent stage at the moment, in-fact, the duo of AK and RK will decide on doing it only once they are absolutely satisfied with the final output.”

The source further revealed that this project is high on VFX and an ‘extremely risky preposition’, which is why Aamir wants to have an idea of what the result will look like before he says yes. But if things go according to plan and the two actors like the offer, the project will go on floors next year. Well, currently Aamir is gearing up for the release of his much awaited comedy drama Laal Singh Chaddha , which has been postponed many times because of the pandemic. Meanwhile Ranbir has four exciting projects in his kitty-- Shamshera and Brahmāstra , which are ready for release, along with Luv Ranjan’s untitled next and Sandeep Reddy Vanga ’s Animal .
