Aamir Khan in his film Laal Singh Chaddha might have run across the entire nation gloriously but alas the same cannot be said about the movie when it comes to the box office. The film is witnessing a poor run at the box office and has not even reached the Rs 50 crore mark till now. Not only this but the movie has now hit a new low wherein the total box office numbers haven’t even been able to surpass the collections of Aamir’s biggest unsuccessful film to date which was the 2018 movie Thugs Of Hindostan .

The opening collection of Laal Singh Chaddha itself turned out to be lower than the opening collection of Thugs Of Hindostan. Laal Singh Chaddha opened to a collection of Rs 7.87 crore despite it being an extended weekend due to the holidays of Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day. It will be interesting to note that the total collections of Laal Singh Chaddha now since 5 days of its release is also lower than the first day opening of Thugs Of Hindostan.

Thugs Of Hindostan had minted Rs 50.75 crore at the box office on its first day. Now Aamir Khan’s latest offering Laal Singh Chaddha hasn’t even been able to reach Thugs Of Hindostan’s first-day collections after 5 days of its release. Not only this, Thugs Of Hindostan despite being labeled as Aamir’s biggest commercial and critical disasters to date has emerged as the winner by all means over Laal Singh Chaddha.

The first-weekend collection of Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan had come to Rs 123 crore whereas Laal Singh Chaddha hasn’t even reached Rs 50 crore till now. Now the lifetime collections of Laal Singh Chaddha is being predicted to be just Rs 49 to Rs 50 crore. Whereas Thugs Of Hindostan had garnered Rs 151.19 crore. Well, this really screams bad news for the Indian adaptation film of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump. It remains to see if there is still a minute chance for the movie to redeem itself.
