Two Chr istmases have already passed without the arrival of A amir Khan ’s Laal Singh Chadha as promised. Now the film is sticking its guns to the Baisakhi holiday in April which is also the festival the highly anticipated K.G.F Chapter 2 will be releasing on. Needless to say that the clash will be a major one but on a busy calendar like this year’s, those would be inevitable.

Clarifying rumours of planning to change release dates again, Aamir Khan ’s production house has now issued a statement refuting claims that the movie might once again get delayed. Laal Singh Chaddha which is Bollywood ’s official remake of Tom Hank’s iconic Forrest Gump, has faced several delays in production due to the pandemic.

"Aamir Khan Productions' Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date stands as Baisakhi, 14th April 2022, contrary to some misleading stories. We once again would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the journey of making this film. Produced by Viacom 18 Studios and Aamir Khan productions, Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan with music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film has been adapted by Atul Kulkarni,” the statement reads.

The makers had originally set a deadline of Christmas 2020 for arrival but that clearly didn’t happen. The movie while narrating the story of Laal Singh Chaddha will walk viewers through some major events in India’s story and also comes packing some major surprises that fans are really keen to witness.

Laal Singh Chaddha which also stars Kareena Kapoor will also mark the debut of Telugu star Naga Chaitanya . Cameos from Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are expected while Aamir will be seen sporting a few different looks in the story where plays an autistic man.

The film clashes with K.G.F Chapter 2 which is the highly anticipated sequel to the Kannada film starring Yash which emerged a blockbuster in 2018. The sequel which only gets bigger and better has added Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist Adheera and also incorporated Raveena Tandon in the cast in a key role.
