One of Bollywood’s finest actors, the handsome Abhishek Bachchan is all set to return to our screens with his next film Dasvi. Helmed by Tushar Jalota, the social comedy follows the story of an uneducated and rustic politician who decides to prepare for 10th standard exams while he is in jail. Currently the actor is on a promotional spree along with his director and his co-stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. Well, during one interview for Dasvi, Abhishek talked about another movie that has been in the news-- Vivek Agnihotri ’s blockbuster, The Kashmir Files .

In an interview with Times Now, he was asked if films and cinema can be a solution to political issues. Abhishek replied yes and went on to add that the intention needs to be clear. The actor explained, “You were talking about The Kashmir Files. The genesis of it is what- we have been discussing that for two-three days. Whatever you say, you want to politicise it, you want to communalise it, that is your freedom of speech and your opinion, very good. But if the film wasn't good, it wouldn't have worked. There is no other reason why it's working.”

He further stated, “You can take out a lot of other meanings and ripple effects. The genesis, the foundation is that it has to be a good film. Again, it’s not my place to say kyunki maine film dekhi nahi hai. But I’ve not met anybody who said it’s a bad film. That is the only truth of cinema. If a film does good business, it has to be a good film.” When Agnihotri thanked Abhishek for his kind words on social media, the actor replied, “Look forward to seeing the film at the earliest. Best wishes.”
