    Cashing in on the festive season, the makers of the highly anticipated Adipurush revealed the first teaser of the Ramayan based film to the world on Sunday. The movie starring Prabhas , Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in key roles has been helmed by filmmaker Om Raut .

    Given the excitement around the project it is not surprising that the teaser got millions of views in a few hours. However, what was unexpected was that the reveal of the teaser would douse the enthusiasm surrounding the film.

    While it has been a well known fact that Adipurush will be high on VFX, but the fans seem to be displeased with the results as seen in the teaser of the film. The highly animated looking teaser seems to have taken all the attention away from even the hero of the film Prabhas whose fans were eagerly looking forward to see him as Lord Ram in the film.

    What has followed the Adipurush teaser on social media is a slew of displeased reaction and a meme fest. The project which is going to be a pan-Indian release is mounted on a mammoth budget of Rs. 500 crores. The real meets animated world painted by the teaser, however, has the netizens believing that the budget has gone to waste.

    That’s not all, the teaser has opened up a room for comparisons where people are comparing Prabhas’ character to Ram Charan’s in RRR. The film has been compared to video games, Hollywood projects like Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones among several others.

    Adipurush teaser has also revealed the first looks which have not even managed to make a dent with adherent fans even Saif Ali Khan’s fierce look as Lankesh has been dissed by few.

    Along with the Adipurush teaser, makers have announced that the film will be releasing in cinemas on 12 January 2023.
