Just a few weeks ahead of the release, the makers of Aditya Roy Kapur ’s Om : The Battle Within have decided to rename the film to Rashtra Kavach OM . The posters and other publicity materials with the new title will soon be released as per reports.

Billed as a big-scale action feature, the film is directed by Kapil Verma and backed by Zee Studios, Ahmed Khan, and Shaira Khan. The film features Aditya in a never seen avatar of an intense action hero. The film also has Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana , and Prachi Shah in pivotal roles.

While the film is just a few weeks away from its release date, the makers unveiled its trailer on June 10. It is being reported that due to an issue with getting title rights, the makers had to take the call of changing the title in a short time. They will soon update the film’s title on YouTube in the caption as well as the description, and also on social media sites.

“It seems that the film was facing trouble with regards to the title rights. Hence, the makers felt that it was better to change the title. They decided to rename it Rashtra Kavach OM. Moreover, all the publicity materials of the film which will be out henceforth will carry the new title of the film. The makers have around 2 ½ weeks before release, which would be more than enough to make it known to everyone that the movie is now titled Rashtra Kavach OM,” a source close to the development told Bollywood Hungama .

Earlier, Akshay Kumar ’s Samrat Prithviraj had to change its title after it received backlash from a fringe group. The film was earlier titled Prithviraj, however, Karni Sena asked the makers to add ‘Samrat’ to pay respect to the warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, on which the film is based. Directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film also stars Manushi Chhillar , Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt , and Ashutosh Rana.
