After Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Karan Johar to direct his first action film? Here’s what we know

One of the most popular and well-known celebrities of the Hindi film industry, Karan Johar is an all rounder. He’s a producer, writer, talk show host, reality show judge and has directed many super hit films including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan. Last year, KJo announced that he is all set to return to the director’s chair 5 long years after his last feature film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil released, to helm a family dramedy. Titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani , the much awaited film stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead, along with veteran superstars Dharmendra , Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi .

Well, a report shared by Peeping Moon has now revealed that KJo is in no mood to take another long break from the director’s chair. He has already begun work on his next directorial, which will mark his very first action entertainer. You read that right! According to the report, the film which will roll out by the end of this year is an action and love story. As we all know, the filmmaker has many romantic dramas to his credit. In fact, he is often referred to as the king of the genre. But he is now ready to sway from the well-known path to experiment with action. That is enough reason for fans to be intrigued!

The report further stated that Karan will dive into this action entertainer as soon as he wraps up the principle photography of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Meanwhile, as a producer KJo has many other exciting projects in his kitty, such as Gehraiyaan, Govinda Naam Mera, Liger, Brahmastra , Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Dostana 2 among others.
