Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is all set for the much-awaited release of his directorial debut film Barroz, slated for a December 25 release. The actor was recently in Mumbai to launch the Hindi trailer of the film. The makers invited Bollywood star Akshay Kumar to unveil the trailer.

The two iconic Indian stars, who met at the event, were seen greeting each other with a warm hug and smiling as they posed for pictures for the paparazzi. The event was also attended by renowned cinematographer and the principal DOP of Barroz, Santhosh Sivan, who was also seen interacting with the stars. Check out the clips and photos from the event.

Barroz Trailer

In the trailer presented to audiences earlier, the extravagant fantasy period film promises to introduce striking visuals and the story of Barroz, the ghost tasked with guarding the treasure of Gama Palace. Based on the novel Barroz: Guardian of Da Gama’s Treasure by Jijo Punnoose, the glimpse showcases Mohanlal as Barroz, a guardian entrusted with safeguarding the palace's concealed treasures from unwelcome intruders. The trailer also highlights a teenage girl named Isabella, her adventurous journey, and her special connection with Barroz.

Earlier, the makers had exclusively premiered the trailer for Mohanlal's Barroz during the theatrical screening of Kanguva. It quickly struck a chord with audiences. The trailer’s stunning visual effects and compelling style captivated viewers, building anticipation for this cinematic spectacle on the big screen.

About Barroz

Directed by Mohanlal in his directorial debut, the film revolves around Barroz, whose sole duty is to ensure the wealth is passed on to a true descendant of Vasco da Gama.

The upcoming fantasy drama will be released in 3D formats and is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner. The cast includes Maya, Sara Vega, Tuhin Menon, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, and Guru Somasundaram in key roles.
