    Akshay Kumar starrer satirical comedy-drama OMG-Oh My God! is back with its second instalment. The actor took to his social media and shared a glimpse of his character as Lord Shiva in the first-look poster. Alongside he also announced that the film is arriving in theatres on August 11. Interestingly, the upcoming film will clash with Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, which is also scheduled to release on the same date.

    Taking to his Instagram, Akshay wrote, “आ रहे हैं हम, आइयेगा आप भी.(We are coming, you also come)11th August. In theatres. #OMG2.” Soon after, excited fans flooded the comment section with their reactions. One of the users wrote, “But is baar bhagwan ka mazak nahi hona chahiye” Another commented, “Part 1 was superb!!!     Directed by Umesh Shukha, the original OMG was released in 2012 and was based on the Gujarati stage-play Kanji Virudh Kanji. The film also featured Mithun Chakraborty, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles. The upcoming spiritual sequel is helmed by Amit Rai and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, Arun Govil and Aamir Naik in important roles. Reportedly, the film will focus on the subject of the Indian education system.

    On the other hand, Sunny, along with Ameesha Patel is returning with the sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Directed and produced by Anil Sharma, the period action drama will see Sunny and Ameesha reprising their roles of Tara Singh and Sakeena. This time, the movie is set on the premise of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, where Tara Singh returns to Pakistan in order to bring back his son Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma). Meanwhile, it will be interesting to seen two big sequels to lock horns at the box office on August 11, 2023.
