After four long years, Ranbir Kapoor made a comeback to the silver screen with Shamshera last week in a never seen before avatar. He won hearts with his first ever period action film, which also marks his first double role project. While Shamshera received mixed reviews, Ranbir’s return to our screens along with his performance left fans wanting more. Well, on 25th July he resumed shooting his next film Animal in Delhi, where the actor is exploring yet another untouched genre. Much to our delight, a snap of Ranbir’s clean shaven first look was leaked from the Pataudi Palace which has received a big thumbs up from netizens.

In his career as an actor, which spans over 15 long years, Ranbir has played many different roles. But the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial features the heartthrob in his very first grey shade character. Talking about the same to Mid Day, Ranbir revealed, “I was [stunned] to hear the script. It’s the most shocking part I have ever done. I am scared to rejoin that film. It is a great opportunity for me as an actor. No one expects me to do such a role. I hope the audience is ready for that film from me.”

He went on to add, “The movie requires me to nail the grey shades rightly, and the physicality adds to [the character’s menacing ways] in terms of visuals. I have put on a lot of muscle.” The gangster drama stars Anil Kapoor as Ranbir’s on-screen father whereas National crush Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as his wife. Animal also stars Bobby Deol in a pivotal role.

After trying his hand at action, Ranbir is now busy shooting for a gangster drama. He is experimenting more as an actor and his fans could not have been happier. We wish Ranbir 2.0 all the very best!
