John Abraham’s Attack was an ambitious attempt to bring the tale of India’s first super-soldier to the big screen. But unfortunately, the movie is not being received well at the box office. After having a poor opening on its first day, the film is still not gaining momentum and has only managed to garner Rs 11.51 crore on its fourth day.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handle to state, “#Attack is below the mark... No major growth/jump on Day 2 and 3 is disappointing... The # RRR wave has also impacted its prospects in mass sectors... Fri 3.51 cr, Sat 3.75 cr, Sun 4.25 cr. Total: ₹ 11.51 cr. #India biz.” Take a look at his tweet.

Attack had opened to a collection of just Rs 3.51 crore on its first day. On its third day, the John Abraham starrer went on to mint Rs 3.55 crore. The film’s total opening weekend collection had come up to be Rs 10.48 crore. This poor box office performance of the movie might also be due to the extremely stiff competition faced by films like RRR and The Kashmir Files that are still going solid at the box office.

Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel had tweeted that Attack has been totally rejected by the masses as it has shown no growth on Saturday despite being an action film. The tweet stated“#Attack is totally rejected by the audience as it dint show any growth on Saturday despite being an action film. It collected ₹ 3.25 cr on its day-2. Two days total- ₹ 6.25 cr net.”

While the unique concept of Attack was praised, it also received some flak for the shoddy execution. Apart from John Abraham, the movie also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles. In the film, John essays the role of a super-soldier who was once paralyzed after an attack and given a powerful body aided by artificial intelligence by the scientist.
