Ayushmann Khurrana as Doctor G is ready to take appointments in theatres on THIS date

Ayushmann Khurrana is known for breaking all stereotypes when it comes to choosing his characters in the movies. After playing the eccentric role of a sperm donor, a man with erectile dysfunction, and gay, the actor is all set to step into another unexplored character of gynecologist in his upcoming film, Doctor G . The movie is slated to hit theatres on October 14.

The upcoming campus comedy-drama also stars Rakul Preet Singh and marks her first collaboration with Ayushmann. Anubhuti Kashyap is also making her directorial debut with the movie. On Monday, the Shubh Mangal Saavdhan actor shared the new poster of his upcoming movie and shared the release date. “ZindaGi hai meri full of Googly Chahiye tha Orthopedics, par ban gaya DoctorG Get ready for your appointments, #DoctorG will attend to you in theatres from 14th October 2022,” he wrote on his Instagram post.

In the poster, Ayushmann can be seen wearing a doctor’s coat and shutting his ears around girls in similar coats shouting behind. The film revolves around a medical student who opted for an orthopedic specialization and ends up becoming a gynecologist who treats woman-related problems. Talking about his character, Ayuhsmann had earlier said that subject of the movie is close to his heart as he gets to relive his memories of being a student and spending life in the hostel. Also, he feels honoured to play a doctor on the screen for the first time.

Besides Ayushmann and Rakul, the upcoming film also stars Sheeba Chadha who plays Ayushmann’s mother in prominent roles. Shefali Shah will also be making a guest appearance in the movie. Written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, Saurabh Bharat along with Kashyap, the film is bankrolled by Vineet Jain and Amrita Pandey.

Well, it will be interesting to watch Ayushmann in a comedy-drama after watching him last in a serious role in Anubhav Sinha’s Anek. Besides Doctor G, he also has another social comedy Dream Girl 2, a sequel to his 2019 film, opposite Ananya Panday.
