Badhaai Do Trailer: Rajkummar & Bhumi’s marriage takes a hilarious turn when latter’s GF moves in with them

The society’s understanding of homosexuality has evolved quite a lot in the last few years, which is something for us all to be proud of. Many filmmakers and actors have also helped normalize the idea of LGBTQ stories in Bollywood. Well, Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar ’s upcoming movie Badhaai Do promises to be an interesting and heartwarming addition to the list. The trailer was dropped by the makers today and it is even more intriguing than what we had in mind. The film follows the lives of a cop named Shardul Thakur, portrayed by Raj, who pursues PT teacher Suman, played by Bhumi, for marriage. But what’s so different about their story?

Well, the two are in the closet and Shardul’s offer is for a marriage of convenience where they get their families off their back and live as roommates. While Suman is initially hesitant, she agrees and the two tie the knot in a big fat wedding. Things get even more interesting when Suman’s girlfriend moves in with them. With her entry, Shardul and Suman’s journey to happily ever after gets even more quirky and quite difficult because of their prying neighbors and relatives. Soon their parents expect the happily married couple to start a family. While they eagerly wait for a ‘good news’, they come up with their own theories of why Suman and Shardul are having troubles in the bedroom.

Rajkummar and Bhumi are phenomenal actors which is why fans expect nothing but the best from them. After watching the trailer, we are sure they will exceed expectations once again. Their chemistry is on-point and the performances of the supporting actors including Chum Darang, Sheeba Chaddha , Seema Pahwa and Lovleen Mishra has left us super excited for the film. We can’t wait for Badhaai Do to arrive in theatres on 11th February.
