Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s Harshaali Malhotra wishes to be part of Pawan Putra Bhaijaan; says ‘I hope Salman uncle calls’

    Last year during the pre-release event of RRR in Mumbai, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan announced the sequel to his 2015 blockbuster hit film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. In the comedy drama, written by SS Rajamouli’s writer father K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, Salman won hearts as Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi aka Bajrangi. In order to unite a mute six-year-old girl with her parents, Pawan embarks on a journey from India to Pakistan without a passport and visa. Actress Harshaali Malhotra, who was in class 1 back then, had played the role of Shahida aka Munni in the film.

    Well, in a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Harshaali opened up about the reports regarding Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s sequel and revealed that she wishes to be a part of the film. She was quoted saying, “I am super duper excited. Now, all I hope is Salman uncle calls and says that we need to start preparing for the film, and I’ll immediately join him. Ever since the announcement has been made, many people have been tagging me on social media wanting to know more about the project.” Harshaali added, “I am waiting for it to start soon, and I hope that I have a role in it.”

    On his 56th birthday last year, during an interaction with the paparazzi outside his Panvel farmhouse, Salman had revealed the title of Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s sequel. He had stated that the film will be called ‘Pawan Putra Bhaijaan’. KV Vijayendra Prasad, on the other hand, had shared that the film will be in continuation of the original 2015 masterpiece. Well, we can’t wait for the movie’s official announcement and wonder if Harshaali, who is now in class 9, will be a part of it.
