Beast Day 1 box-office - The Vijay starrer manages to gross a whopping 75 Crores worldwide despite negative reviews

According to reports Vijay 's 65th film Beast has grossed Rs. 75 crores worldwide. The movie premiered on the 13th of April to negative critical reception but despite the odds, the movie had a great opening day both in India and abroad.

The movie was produced by Sun Pictures with a massive budget of Rs.150 cores with filming commencing in April 2021 and wrapped in December.

While box office numbers for big superstars are not always accurate as both fans and haters will flood the internet with fake numbers but sources close to the actor have confirmed that the movie is going strong at the box office.

The movie has broken the record of the highest opening for a Vijay movie in Tamil Nadu which was the 2018 movie Sarkar which grossed Rs. 32 crores.

Beast has managed to gross Rs. 1.95 cores from Chennai alone on its opening day.

Beast has also managed to gross over Rs. 4 crores at the US box office where it was released in 308 locations. This is the second-best opening for a Tamil movie in the United States after Kabali.

Rs. 62-74 Crore gross worldwide

Tamil Nadu: Rs. 32-37 Crore gross

Andhra/ Telangana: Rs. 5 – 7.5 Crore gross

Karnataka: Rs. 3-4 Crore gross

Kerala: Rs. 3-3.5 Crore gross

Rest Of India: Rs. 1-2 Crore gross

Beast stars Vijay, Pooja Hegde , Selvaraghavan , Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, VTV Ganesh, Shaji Chen, Aparna Das, Sathish Krishnan, and Lilliput Faruqui.

The movie is currently running in theaters.
