    In 2016 when Ben Affleck was cast to play Batman in Zack Synder's Batman V Superman. The reactions from fans were mixed but his performance in the movie quickly won over fans and was considered one of the best things about the movie.

    However, after his appearance in the Justice League and the poor critical, and financial response the movie received and Affleck's standalone Batman movie which he was supposed to write and direct fell through, he announced that he was leaving the role.

    But thankfully when the Snyder Cut of the Justice League was announced and while shooting extra footage the actor returned to play the role. DC also announced that he would also be a part of the upcoming movie The Flash .

    In a recent interview with The Herald Sun the actor opened about returning to the role of Batman for The Flash and being happy how well it turned out. "I have never said this — this is hot off the presses — but maybe my favorite scenes in terms of Batman and the interpretation of Batman that I have done, were in the Flash movie," the actor said.

    He went to say "I hope they maintain the integrity of what we did because I thought it was great and really interesting — different, but not in a way that is incongruent with the character. Who knows? Maybe they will decide that it doesn't work, but when I went and did it, it was really fun and really, really satisfying and encouraging and I thought, 'Wow — I think I have finally figured it out.'"

    The Flash stars Ezra Miller reprising his role as Barry Allen and dealing with the consequences of time travel, Joining Miller and Affleck will be Micheal Keaton who will be returning to the role of Batman and based on Tim Burton's Batman movies.

    The Rest of the cast includes Michael Shannon, Kiersey Clemons, and Sasha Calle, The Flash is set to hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
