Ben Affleck to have a cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

If recent internet rumors are to be believed Marvel studios reportedly approached Ben Affleck to do a Cameo as Daredevil

Ben Affleck to have a cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

After the appearance of Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire in Spider-Man : No Way Home, there had been a lot of rumors about how Marvel Studios was planning on having several cameos from different multiverses in upcoming films.

This means actors from previous movie versions of Marvel characters before the MCU could once again be returning. Now, while all this is still speculation according to a recent tweet by Big Screen Leaks Marvel had wanted Ben Affleck to make an appearance as Daredevil.

The actor played the role of Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in the 2003 superhero movie, the movie was not well received and failed to make an impact at the box office.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness continues the multiversal plot set in motion with Spider-Man No Way Home where Doctor Strange casts a spell to make everyone forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man and instead opens a portal across the multiverse allowing many enemies of the character to get through.

Multiverse of Madness has teased the appearance of an alternate version of Dr. Strange from the dark side who was introduced in the Marvel series What If? last year. Benedict Cumberbatch will be joined by Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff.

Marvel has been building the multiversal theme in Phase 4 with shows like Loki , What If? and recently Spider-Man: No Way Home. if the grand success of the last one is anything to go by then the movie could benefit greatly with more multiversal cameos.

Despite the 2003 Daredevil's shortcomings the success of Spider-Man: No Way Home proves that even bad superhero movies can be redeemed.

In the present universe actor Charlie Cox plays the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and after wrapping up season 3 in 2018 the actor returned for a cameo in No Way Home as Spider-Man's lawyer. Meanwhile, another season of Daredevil may be on the cards with Cox returning as Daredevil so Ben Affleck's interest in returning as the visually challenged superhero for just a cameo might not be that high.

Ben Affleck is not a stranger to superhero movies and was last seen as Batman in the Synder Cut of Justice League and will also play the caped crusader for the last time in the upcoming superhero movie The Flash alongside Ezra Miller.

So the chances of him making an appearance in the MCU are slim.
