Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha ’s box office fate seems to have been sealed. The movie is hardly able to sell tickets and it is a big cause of concern for Bollywood at the moment as there were big hopes from the film. However, Laal Singh Chaddha’s slow box office performance only partly associated with what the film is actually about.

The Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ iconic Forrest Gump is facing a political ‘boycott’ on social media and the reasons have nothing to do with the film at all. The fact that the makers have taken a bold step by remaking a Hollywood classic also brings comparisons and the movie clashing with Raksha Bandhan also has its own impact on the box office performance.

When it comes to Laal Singh Chaddha the film, the critics and the audience that has watched it have their own views. From some actually feeling the emotion the movie drives to others finding nothing quite spectacular to appreciate about the Aamir Khan starrer it is clear that Laal Singh Chaddha is an entirely average film.

Apart from Aamir’s portrayal of a specially abled character, viewers have also been left debating over a few scenes in the film and the negative impact that brings it also diminishing interest. Laal Singh Chaddha was four years in the making and was touted to be one of Bollywood’s biggest films. The film has only managed to earn close to Rs. 18 crores in two days.
