The movie is hardly able to sell tickets and it is a big cause of concern for Bollywood at the moment as there were big hopes from the film. However, Laal Singh Chaddha’s slow box office performance only partly associated with what the film is actually about.

    The Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ iconic Forrest Gump is facing a political ‘boycott’ on social media and the reasons have nothing to do with the film at all. The fact that the makers have taken a bold step by remaking a Hollywood classic also brings comparisons and the movie clashing with Raksha Bandhan also has its own impact on the box office performance.

    When it comes to Laal Singh Chaddha the film, the critics and the audience that has watched it have their own views.
