Despite Warner Brothers pushing back multiple DC releases this year, the one glimmer of hope for DC fans is the upcoming Black Adam movie starring Dwyane Johnson in the lead role.

The movie will not only introduce the anti-hero in the DCEU but also The Justice Society of America an alternate version of the Justice League composed of different members.

One such prominent member is Kent Nelson aka Doctor Fate played by Pierce Brosnan, who in the trailers appears to be appealing to Black Adam's humanity and asking him to be a hero and not a villain.

Doctor Fate is one of the most powerfull superheroes in the DC universe who has superhuman strength and power and is immortal his helmet is known as the Helmet of Fate, which grants him powerful magic abilities.

In the comics, Kent Nelson is an archeologist who gains his powers after accidentally releasing the ancient Mesopotamian god Nabu, despite granting him his powers Nabu and Nelson share a troubled relationship with the latter trying to take control of his body on multiple occasions.

During a recent interview, Brosnan touched on just how formidable Doctor Fate is, revealing he has the power to see the future, resurrect the dead, and teleport.

In addition to Johnson and Brosnan, the movie stars Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, and Quintessa Swindell.

We will have to wait till the movie comes out before we get to see how powerful this version of Doctor Strange truly is and whether he can convince Black Adam to protect humanity.

Black Adam is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and is set to hit theaters on October 21, 2022.
