Marvel released the first full-length trailer for Black Panther 2, which will be the final entry in the fourth entry in the MCU and will also introduce a new Black Panther.

The movie will deal with the aftermath of King T'Challa's death and introduce new characters like Riri Williams aka Ironheart and the antihero Namor The Submariner.

The trailer also sets up the conflict between Wakanda and the underwater nation of Atlantis, the new footage a quite a few revelations and easter eggs so let's take a look at a few of the major ones you may have missed.

    Namor is a mutant

While the trailer does not specifically use the word mutant it is clear from the trailer that Namor is different from his fellow Atlantians, in the trailer M'Baku says that Namor isn't called a King by his people but rather "K'uk'ulkan, the feather serpent god."

And from the trailer it is clear that Namor like in the comics has the power of flight thanks to small wings on his feet, while we mutants haven't been officially introduced into the MCU, it is clear from Watching Doctor Strange 2 and MS. Marvel that they do exist and we do know that Marvel will introduce both Deadpool and Wolverine within a few years.

Wakanda and Talocan Will be Allies

While it is clear from the trailer that both nations will be in conflict at some point in the movie but this is most likely due to an understanding that by the end of the movie both nations will be allies and we can see Namor and the new Black Panther even team up.

There are a few moments in the trailer where we see both Atlantians and Wakanda soldiers fighting together against a group of soldiers.

Ironheart Will Play a Bigger Role

While initially it was believed that Riri Williams aka Iron Heart would be making her MCU debut with a cameo in the movie, it is now clear from the new footage that she will be in fact playing a major role in the sequel.

In the trailer, we see Ironheart is seen flying through the streets of Boston alongside a muscle car and motorcycle, driven by Okoye and Shuri, respectively.

    Possible Doctor Doom Reference

The car we see Okoye has a very interesting license plate "EE 0710" and according to one Redditor this is a reference to a comic book number and date specifically Sub-Mariner: The Initiative #5, released in October 2007 but some also suggest that in the movie playte will read "FF 0710" in the movie and the footage we see in the trailer was edited to not give away spoilers.

This theory suggests that FF 0170 stands for Fantastic Four July 2010 and while three fantastic four comics were released that month and non of them involved Black Panther or Namor but instead Doctor Doom.

This adds validity to the rumor floating around that Doctor Doom will be introduced in the movie and he will go on to play a major villain in the MCU.

    Attuma

For a brief moment we catch a glimpse of the Marvel villain Attuma, in the comics, he is from a tribe that was banished from Atlantis and often fights Namor and like Namor is different from the other members of his tribe as he possesses super strength and speed and it is prophesied that we would conquer Atlantis one day.

There you have it five major eater eggs from the new trailer, Black Panther 2 is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Dominique Thorne, Florence Kasumba, Michaela Coel, and Tenoch Huerta.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit theaters on November 11, 2022.
