Brahmastra 2: After Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan roped in to take the Ranbir-Alia trilogy forward?
After Fighter, actors Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan might reunite on-screen in Brahmastra 2, as Parvati and MahaDev.
One of the most awaited films of the year, Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is finally arriving in theatres on 9th September. Audiences could not be happier because there are various reasons behind their excitement-- Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt ’s first film together, Ranbir’s reunion with Ayan Mukerji, Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo along with Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni’s star power. Well, even before part one has released, news of the next film in this planned trilogy has already began doing the rounds.
Rumors first suggested that Deepika Padukone has been roped in for a special cameo which will have a deep connection to the second installment in this trilogy. Then it was reported that the actress will play the lead role of Parvati in Brahmastra 2. Well like Ranbir aka Shiva is paired with Isha played by Alia in part one, Parvati’s character will be joined by MahaDev. According to the latest report shared by Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik Roshan is the top choice for this role at the moment.
A source was quoted saying, “The character of MahaDev requires a certain aura, which comes naturally to Hrithik. He is obviously the first choice for this modern mythology, however, Ayan and co. are yet to hear back from Hrithik. He has loved the character and the world of Ayan, and is expected to make an informed decision soon on his involvement in the film.”
Well, if things go according to plan, then Brahmastra 2 will mark Deepika and Hrithik’s second film together. Their very first collaboration is Siddharth Anand's much anticipated action film Fighter.
