Even before the trailer of Brahmāstra was released, a short glimpse of the track Kesariya was shared with fans. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt ’s chemistry won hearts while the lyrics left a soothing effect on the audience. When the song finally released, it was showered with lots of love. Well, the second track from Ayan Mukerji’s directorial is now out. Titled Deva Deva , it follows Ranbir’s journey as Shiva, who learns to control supernatural weapon Brahmāstra inside him. This song also gives us a deeper look into Amitabh Bachchan’s character.

The music video, which is a spectacle in itself, begins with Ranbir asking Guru ji Big B why he’s a part of the ‘astra world’. It is then revealed that he’s an astra himself. Shiva then sets out to unleash the fire within and also learns how to control it. The awe on his face as he discovers the power he holds, will give you goosebumps. It is refreshing to see Ranbir in such a character. Helmed by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi, Deva Deva is catchy and gives positive vibes. Alia, who joins Ranbir mid-way, is the cherry on top of this delicious cake.

Also starring Nagarjuna Akkineni as artist Anish, Mouni Roy as Junoon the Queen of Darkness and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo, Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is the first in a planned trilogy. The film is a labor of love, which took several years to be made and is now ready to arrive in theatres on 9th September.
