Captain America: New World Order - Find out who will be taking over the mantle of The Falcon in The MCU

    Actor Danny Ramirez who had a brief cameo in the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Solider has been officially confirmed to play The Falcon in The MCU.

    Danny Ramirez who is fresh from the success of Top Gun: Maverick, which has shattered multiple records and has gone on to be the higgest grossing movie of the year is all set to play The Falcon in the upcoming Captain America; New World Order.

    The fourth installment in the franchise will pick up after the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, with Sam Wilson taking over the mantle of Captain America.

    Danny Ramirez will soon reprise his role as Joaquin Torres, who has introduced in the first episode of the series as Sam Wilson's Airforce liaison

    In the comics, Torres is a Mexcian immigrant who is kidnapped when he was a child and genetically altered to have bird-like abilities.

    While it is unlikely that the MCU will use the comic book version of Torres origin story, non the less it will be interesting to see how he becomes The Falcon.

    The actor who appeared at The D23 panel shared his excitement for the role.

    Speaking to comicbook.com the actor had this to say about joining the MCU.

    "I'm excited, man. It's walking out there and everyone just loves him. To receive that love is just so unique of an experience," Ramirez said. "From independent to Captain America: New World Order , just walking out and just being called my name by Kevin [Feige] was nuts. It was crazy."

    The movie will be directed by Julius Onah and the cast of the movie includes Anthony Mackie, Carl Lumbly, Danny Ramirez, Tim Blake Nelson, and Shira Haas.

    Captain America: New World Order is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2024.
