Darlings teaser: Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah's partnership sparkles; the sneak peek will leave you asking for more

10 years in Bollywood and Alia Bhatt is all set to don a new hat in the industry as a producer with her upcoming film Darlings . The actress has brought together a stellar team of actors and the teaser of the film which has arrived today shows how they are ready to spill magic on screen together.

Alia Bhatt’s Darlings teaser sets out to narrate the story of the scorpion and the frog as she applies it to the life of her character what’s left for the audience to guess is who is the scorpion and who is the frog.

The teaser shows her relationship with Vijay Varma in the film, who is highly insecure about Roshan Matthew’s character being around Alia in the film. Shefali Shah and Alia’s mother-daughter bonding is simply too good for words and becomes the highlight of the teaser of this black comedy.

Alia’s character is not who she is pretending to be while Vijay Varma seems to be acing the dangerous jealous partner role with just the change in his expressions. The last scene of the teaser where alia and Shefali are making their case in a police station is outright hilarious and is enough to win you over if the rest of the teaser doesn’t.

The teaser packs quirk, intrigue, thrill and also promises some enthralling performances making Darlings a movie to watch out for on Netflix .

There’s still a lot to unpack in this black comedy which might be reminding Ali Bhatt fans of her role in Gully Boy in a rather dark fashion and to know more we will have to wait for the teaser to release. Till then, Darlings has left a brilliant first impression.

Darlings directed by Jasmeet K Reen will arrive on Netflix on August 5.
