Dave Bautista to star in M. Night Shyamalan's next movie Knock at the Cabin

    M. Night Shyamalan who's is ready for his next venture called 'Knock at the Cabin' which will star Dave Bautista in the lead. While the plot details of the movie are unknown we can expect some interesting twists and turns from the director.

The director's last movie Old was a critical and commercial success and raised over 90 million dollars against a budget of 8 million dollars. The director had made a comeback in 2016 with the highly successful horror movie Split.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the director talked about casting Dave Bautista and he knew how he would be perfect for the role after watching his performance in Blade Runner 2049.

He spoke in detail about Dave's performance in Balde Runner 2049 and a scene in which he was rather taken by Dave's stillness. The filmmaker thought it to be a mark of a great actor and said that it stayed with him, Dave's performance in the scene.

"I didn’t know who he was at that time, and he stuck in my head. So when this script came, I was like, 'There seems to be one guy who can play this giant human being and do the stillness.' So I asked Dave," The filmmaker told the publication about casting Bautista.

While M. Night Shyamalan was tight-lipped about the plot details of Knock on the Cabin and what role Dave Bautista is playing in the movie, he did say that it was a very emotional experience. "I don’t know what this means, so it’ll be interesting to see at the end of it all, but it’s the fastest script I’ve ever written. Signs was the fastest script that I wrote before this. I don’t know if that’s to do with the engine, the movement of it, but we’ll see. I’ve enjoyed it so much, and it’s very emotional," he said.

Knock on the Cabin is set to release sometime on February 3, 2023, so we can expect more details and a trailer in the coming months.

    M. Night Shyamalan has been delivering hit after hit since 2016 with movies like Glass and Old and so fans can expect the same level of quality from Knock on the Cabin.
