Deadpool not in Doctor Strange 2 confirms actor Ryan Reynolds during recent press meet

With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness set to release in May the internet is abuzz about other Marvel characters who might be introduced in the movie. With theories about Tom Crusie as Iron Man, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four going around with the arrival of the recent trailer it has been confirmed that Professor Charles Xavier from the X-Men will be seen in the movie.

This has led to fans desperately hoping to see Deadpool have a cameo as well, after all, he is an X-Men and is constantly breaking the third wall so you would think having him in the movie would be an ideal choice for Marvel.

Now it seems we will not see everyone's favorite loud talking mercenary in Doctor Strange 2 after all.

Actor Ryan Reynolds who is currently promoting his upcoming sci-fi action comedy movie The Adam Project was asked if was in the Multiverse of Madness, to which the actor responded "I'm not in the movie," he explained. On being asked again, he replied, "I'm promising, I'm not in the movie."

Now, whether the actor is telling the truth is an entirely different matter. Many actors have lied about their roles in the MCU the most recent being Andrew Garfield who lied about his appearance in Spider-Man : No Way Home.

And if that is the case it should be appreciated as they are simply trying to ruin the movie-goers experience for fans by spoiling the movie. Besides, even if we don't see Deadpool in Doctor Strange 2, it will only be a matter of time before he enters the MCU.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
