Deepika on Gehraiyaan: “Would like to believe I made Ananya, Siddhant and Dhairya feel as comfortable as possible”

Shakun Batra ’s untitled next became one of the most awaited films two years ago, even before it was officially announced. The mystery around the title and genre along with an exciting cast of actors like Deepika Padukone , Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa left fans intrigued. Well, the domestic noir titled Gehraiyaan is finally arriving on our screens this Friday and we can’t keep calm! Deepika and Siddhant’s sizzling chemistry has already won audiences over while the groovy soundtracks have made a place in our hearts.

Gehraiyaan: Deepika trolls Ananya; Shakun Batra calls latter ‘unprofessional’ for laughing during intense scene 

In a recent chat with Bombay Times, Deepika opened up about how she made her co-stars, who are newcomers in the industry in comparison, comfortable on set. She revealed, “It was certainly something that I was cognisant of, as at any point, I didn’t want to make any of them feel intimidated or threatened. In fact, I gave Shakun (director Shakun Batra) the idea that we should all go to Goa earlier and hang out, get to know each other and keep reading the script, as it is the kind of film where the relationships feel extremely real and organic.”

Deepika went on to share, “I would like to believe that I made them feel as comfortable as possible and not think of me with any preconceived idea of who I am.” She also hopes that her co-stars connected with her, the person, instead of the idea that they might have had of who she is. Well, while we are sure Ananya, Siddhant, Deepika and Dhairya had a gala time working together, we can’t wait to take a rollercoaster ride to witness their journeys when Gehraiyaan premieres on 11th February on Amazon Prime Video .
