    The family drama, Goodbye which was released on October 7, opened to positive reviews from the critics. Starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan , Neena Gupta , and Rashmika Mandanna , the film however failed to register bigger footfalls in the theatres despite ticket prices being kept low. On Saturday, the film witnessed a 31 percent jump in the collection, earning Rs 1.20 crore.

As per the early estimates, it managed to earn Rs 1.22 crore on Day 2 of release, taking its two-day total to Rs 2.15 crore. According to trade experts, the film’s collection has been affected by Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, and Chiranjeevi-Salman Khan’s Godfather, which are running simultaneously in cinemas.

    It is expected that Goodbye’s business will rely on word-of-mouth going forward, however, it has shown less promise. Since the film is produced on a controlled budget, making recoveries will be effortless for the makers. So far, the reviews for the film have been positive and can become the major factor to increase its earnings in the coming days.

    Talking about the film, Goodbye is an emotional tale of a family who learn to deal with grief in their own ways. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film marks the Bollywood debut of Rashmika who caught the attention of the pan-India audience in Pushpa: The Rise alongside Allu Arjun. It also marks Big B’s third movie of this year after Jhund and Brahmastra. The film also stars Pavail Gulati, Elli Avram, Sunil Grover, Sahil Mehta, and Abhishek Khan. Bankrolled by Bahl, Viraj Savant, Ekta Kapoor, and Shobha Kapoor, the film is currently running in theatres near you.
