Director Lokesh Kanagaraj celebrates his birthday with the cast and crew of the upcoming 'Leo'

    The director and the rest of the team celebrated together on the sets of Leo in Kashmir.

    Director Lokesh Kanagaraj who has recently wrapped up the Kashmir schedule of his upcoming action film Leo celebrated his birthday with the cast and crew.

    Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who is playing a major role in the movie took to Twitter to wish the director and called his son.

    Leo stars Thalapthy Vijay in the lead and is the third installment in director Lokesh Kanagarj's cinematic universe after Kaithi and Vikram.

    The movie is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner Seven Screen Studio.

    The cinematography will be handled by Manoj Paramahamsa. The movie will be edited by Philomin Raj who worked on the previous entries of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

    There has been a lot of speculation about the plot of the movie and there is a rumor that the movie has a similar plot to the 2005 Hollywood action movie 'A History of Violence'.

    In which a family man is forced to confront this violent past after he encounters someone from his old life as a gangster.

    Trisha Krishnan has been cast as the female lead in the movie opposite Vijay. Leo will see Vijay and Trisha reunite after a gap of 15 years, their last movie together was the 2008 action movie Kuruvi.

    Lokesh Kanakaraj has announced three other installments set in the Lokesh cinematic universe, they are Which are Kaithi 2 starring Karthi, Vikram 2 starring Kamaal Hassan, and finally, a spinoff of Vikram focusing on Rolex played by Suriya, who had a cameo at the end of the movie.

    The full cast of the movie includes Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Manobala, and Janany Kunaseelan.

    While we do know the main cast of the movie, there is a strong possibility that the movie will have cameos from actors like Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Karthi, and Fahadh Faasil.

    According to a new report, the fourth entry in the LCU will be Kaithi 2 which is expected to go into pre-production after the release of Leo.

    2019s Kaithi was a critical and commercial success and was the first installment in director Lokesh Kangaraj's cinematic universe ( LCU ).

    Leo will hit theaters worldwide on 20 October 2023.
