    Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness actress Xochitl Gomez reveals advice Elizabeth Olsen gave her about working for Marvel

    Xochitl Gomez will be making her debut in the MCU with the upcoming film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and has revealed that her co-star Elizabeth Olsen gave her some great advice on working for the studio.

    Olsen told Gomez that Marvel Studios always respects the wishes of their actors and is very collaborative and asked the newest entrant to the group to freely share her inputs on her character and role during the making of the film.

    Gomex plays America Chavez in the film and the character who made her comic book debut in 2011, is a member of the Young Avengers and is the first Latin LGBTQ member of the group.

    America Chavez has the power to travel between different dimensions with ease as well super strength, speed and great powerful energy blasts as powers. In the new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we do see a few scenes where we see her action. Her unique powers make her an ally for Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch as they travel through the multiverse to restore order.

    In a recent interview with D23 Magazine, Xochitl Gomez talks about the advice her co-star gave her and something she believes to be the best advice she has ever received

    "She told me that Marvel really means it when they say they want your input. She said I should never hesitate to share an idea with them or give them feedback." 

    "I am glad she told me that because it gave me more confidence to put my two cents in whenever I had something useful to add. I am just happy I can say Lizzie Olsen gave me advice," she further added.

    She also talked about her excitement about joining the MCU.

    Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is directed by Sam Ramini and stars Benedict Cumberbatch , Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.

    The movie will hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
