It seems rumours of Deadpool cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might be true afterall

There have been a lot of rumors about the number of superheroes that will be introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Everything from introducing The Fantastic Four , actors reprising their roles from Marvel movies before the MCU to Tom Cruise playing Tony Stark aka Iron Man from a different universe has been speculated. 

One such rumor was that the movie would introduce the X-Men specifically the 'Merc with a Mouth' aka Deadpool himself.

Now, while these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt but it seems the Deadpool rumor might turn out to be true.

According to Rob Liefeld creator of Deadpool, there is a chance we might see the loud talking antihero in the movie. From a story perspective, Deadpool makes a lot of sense he is one of the few characters that constantly breaks the fourth wall and knows that he is in a movie.

And with Marvel Studios now owning the rights to the character and adding in the fact the popularity of the character, his inclusion would make perfect sense and also sets up a way to introduce the other X-Men into the MCU.

Spider-Man : No Way Home introduced the concept of the Multiverse into the MCU and Doctor Strange too will be dealing with consequences. As we see Doctor Strange deal with his former friend turned rival Karl Mordo with the help of the Scarlet Witch.

While speaking on The Big Thing with Kristian Harloff on YouTube, Liefeld implied that Marvel is testing audience reaction to the various rumors of who will show up in the movie.

He said, “Here’s the deal you all know, I want to know — have either of you been caught trying to sneak into a screening of Doctor Strange 2? …They are testing the s*** out of this movie. The thing is, uh, they’re testing, it’s all getting out.”

The Multiverse of Madness is directed by Sam Raimi who know for directing the highly successful Spider-Man movie trilogy starring Toby Macguire. The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo, Elizabeth Olsen as The Scarlet Witch and Benedict Wong as Wong.
